The Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society, in partnership with The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, hosted a ‘Walking Together’ Interfaith Event at the hospice’s new premises in Bellahouston Park. The event was a great opportunity for Scottish faith and civic actors to come together and learn more about the work of the Hospice. The mission at the Hospice is to provide high quality, person-centred care for all those affected by life-limiting conditions. All who attended demonstrated their commitment to supporting the work of the Hospice and showed their appreciation for the vital service it provides.

We thank Rhona Ballie, Chief Executive of the PPWH, and Gillian Sherwood, its Director of Clinical Services, for making the event possible. And our gratitude extends also to Provost Jim Fletcher, East Renfrewshire Council, The Rt. Rev Susan Brown, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, His Grace the Most Rev Mario Conti, Archbishop Emeritus of the Metropolitan See of Glasgow, and the Rev Leslie Edge, PPWH Chaplain Minister.

We appreciate also the support of those of all other faiths who attended, and the representation of all three emergency services.
