International Symposium on Multicultural Societies, Ethnoreligious Conflicts & Hate Speech
Organised by the University of Strathclyde, Business School and Istanbul Şehir University in partnership with the Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society (SABS) and Sponsored by the British Academy.
‘Ethnoreligious conflicts, hate speech, and racism threaten peaceful and mutually beneficial coexistence in society. This symposium aims to create an action research based forum and accelerate collaboration between key different stakeholders in order to enhance collective well-being in society at large.’
The day’s symposium brought together national and international governmental actors and officials, faith leaders, policy makers, and other key civic stakeholders in order to create a forum to exchange thoughts and support an action-based and policy-oriented research to address threats to peaceful and mutually beneficial coexistence.
